Forget your apartment, look forward to sheer fun on the ski runs! You needn't go far, since the Ahornbahn is only a 5-minute walk away. The largest funicular railway in the country takes you to the smaller of the tow local ski areas. The Ahorn is considered to be the mountain for aficionados, since it is not too crowded here, the wider ski runs are perfect for beginners and for families. The 18 kilometres of ski runs also include the great 5.5 kilometres long downhill ski run that leads back to the valley, to Mayrhofen.
The finest ski areas
The Pinkenbahn will take you to Mayrhofen's action mountain! It will only take you less than 6 minutes to get there. After having arrived on the mountain with 120 kilometres of ski runs, among which the infamous "Harakiri", a black ski run with incline of up to 78%, the choice is all yours!
Here you will find your personal downhill run, for sure, regardless, whether you're experienced or beginning.
A first-class attraction also for snowboard is the Vans Penken Park. With its various areas, obstacles and wall rides, boarders have always considered the fun parka real treat and challenge.
There is even a small kids park: perfect for those, who can learn how to perform the first tricks on the snowboard.
