Hiking
around Mayrhofen

"the mountains are calling"

Would you like to experience the pure nature of the Zillertal at close quarters and immerse yourself in the mountain world? Then the 200 km of hiking trails are ideal for you. From relaxing walks and easy leisurely hikes to guided hut hikes and challenging summit tours, you can choose your favourite routes.

Panoramic tours
with vistas

The best way to enjoy our holiday region is from the very top! How handy that you don't necessarily have to scramble up 2,000 metres in altitude yourself.

Nature Park Zillertal Alps - reserve in the high mountains

  • area: 422 km²
  • location: at an altitude between 1,000 and 3,509 metres

Loop trail
at the Ahorn

The Ahorn cable car takes you to the mountain and thus to the start of the loop trail on the Ahorn. The tour takes you along the High Alps Nature Park Zillertaler Alps and offers fascinating insights into the flora and fauna of the Tyrolean Alps. After a detour to the Ahornsee lake, you finally reach the Ahornbühne stage, where fascinating bird of prey demonstrations take place every day.

Hikes on the Penken

No less popular is the panorama trail on the Penken, which is suitable for pushchairs. The Penken cable car takes you up to lofty heights and to the start of the circular route. During the two-hour hike, you can enjoy the far-reaching views and pass several adventure stations and refreshment stops.

And if you still need real insider tips for hiking: just ask at our reception.
