Show dairy Zillertal
…for awareness regarding the cycle of high quality food: At the show dairy you will learn in which way fresh grass-fed milk from cows, sheeps and goats are being processed and refined to high quality products. During the "GENUSSlöffeln", you can take your time for a taste and indulge in our pasture milk & yoghurt varieties. On our show dairy farm, you will learn more about our mountain farmers and interesting details about the origin of high quality
food: pasture milk from goats, sheep & cows, from organic chickens and our honey supplier, the bee. All the things that our region and the season produce can be found at our restautant, the alpine dairy kitchen! We will gladly serve you a tasting plate with seven selected pasture milk cheeses, accimpanied with fresh dairy butter & farmhouse bread! Visit and enjoy one of our atmospheric events with live music, offered by well-know Zillertal bands, and culinary delights from our dairy kitchen! Discover the regional variety in our farmhouse shop and take a piece of Zillertal back home with you!
Ice palace Hintertux glacier
Don't miss a visit to the eternal ice!! The natural ice palace at the Hintertux boasts an accessible ice crevice with frozen waterfalls, stalactites and sparkling ice crystals.
The tour of the ice cave is a regular frosty endeavor and a big adventure for the entire family. It will take you approx. half an hour by car to get to the valley station of the Hintertux glacier.
Zillertal nature park
The alpine nature park Zillertal Alps starts at Mayrhofen and stretches out over five different side valleys. In an area of 380m² you can discover the what the Alps are really about: right here, in their original and completely natural state there, they demonstrate a harmonious balance.
During a guided tour you will learn more about the secrets and magical places within the nature park.
Swarovski Crystal Worlds
The Swarovski Crystal Worlds (Kristallwelten) is one of the most popular places of interest in the country and less than one hour away. Here you will find a place that is filled with art, magic and fantasy - and, as the name indicates - a lot of it evolves around sparkling crystal glass, produced by the world famous Swarovski company.
You will not know where to start looking when you visit the 16 wonder chambers. Marvel at the sparkling world of the ice alley, the spectacular crystal dome or the Blue Hall with works made by Salvador Dali and other famous artists. Furthermore, there is a garden with elegant lay-out and a 14 metre high play tower.
Schwaz silver mine
In the Middle Ages this was the largest and most productive silver mine in the world, today you can take a closer look at the mining relics.
In order to do so, you will have to go down, under the mountain, into the Sigmund shaft. The first 800 metres you will be transported by mine train, then you will continue on foot. During the 90-minute long guided tour you will learn more about the old tradition and about the so called Schwaz water art. The silver mine is less than an hour away,
